Solid hardwood is available in unfinished or prefinished planks. Unfinished planks are sanded, stained, and sealed in your home. Expect installation to take about two weeks. Prefinished planks come to your home with factor-applied treatments so the floor can be installed in one day, and you can walk on the floor that same day. Your floor will have a flush look with unfinished planks and a beveled look with prefinished planks. Any type of solid wood flooring is usually nailed or glued to the subfloor.
