Ceramic tile is made of natural materials
Ceramic tile is used to create a permanent floor that lasts for decades. The tile won't easily chip or crack if a hard item is dropped on it, water and sunlight won't damage it, and spills can be wiped up without staining. Best of all, this child and pet-friendly material does not trap dust, dirt, and allergens. Therefore, ceramic tile flooring is a great choice if you suffer from allergies.

Composition
Ceramic tile floors have been laid in the finest homes for thousands of years. Ceramic was favored by Ancient Egyptian royalty. Since tiles are no longer crafted by hand, they are available in a budget-friendly price range. Ceramic is composed of natural materials. Clay, feldspar, sand, quartz, and water are mixed to form the tile, which is then fired in a very hot kiln. Tiles can be glazed or unglazed. Unglazed tiles, which have a matte finish, have a higher slip, scratch, impact, and abrasion resistance than glazed tiles.
Porcelain
Porcelain is a type of ceramic clay that must meet specific water absorption rates. This kind of tile, considered impervious to moisture, can't absorb more than 0.5 percent of its weight in water. Porcelain tiles are denser and, therefore, more durable than ceramic tiles. Hence, porcelain is more appropriate for heavy traffic areas in the home. Since it is a higher quality product, porcelain is more costly than ceramic. It is also harder to cut so it's best to leave the installation to the pros. You can count on the installation team at Braid Flooring & Window Fashions to do a professional job.
